This morning I took a walk to Penn State’s arboretum, looking for signs of spring. I was happy to find some tiny daffodils sprouting up from the soil, but even more excited to see another sign: one that I wrote the content for! In Childhood’s Gate, the children’s section of the arboretum, are a time spiral and some larger-than-life fossil sculptures. The arboretum hired me last year to write an interpretive sign that explains these features. In the process I learned a lot about dinosaurs, ancient sea creatures, prehistoric horses, and more. I love the look of the completed sign, which stands next to the time spiral. Visit the arboretum and check it out!
